Diamond Construct drop new song ‘Night Terrors’ from forthcoming self-titled album

Are you someone who suffers from Sleep Paralysis, Nightmares and other creepy things that go bump in the night while you’re trying to get a bit of shut-eye? Well, you’re probably going to find a brief moment of relatability and relief with Diamond Construct‘s new song/video for ‘Night Terrors‘ which is from their forthcoming self-titled album, out May 17th via Greyscale Records.

On the new song, vocalist Kynan Groundwater explains:

“Night Terrors came together out of real experiences of sleep paralysis and nightmares during a very difficult time for myself… Anyone listening to this track will find different meanings, depending on the situation you are dealing with, and your own personal experience with such things. That’s the reason this new single feels so real to us, and we hope that it hits just as hard for you.”

I myself personally have experienced (and still continue to experience) Sleep Paralysis on many occasions for the better part of the past ten years, so much so The Project hit me up to do a story about it, so it is comforting to hear that I, and many others, are not alone with our struggles with this disorder/experience/whatever you call it.

Even looking at the lyrics of the song, instantly I’m taken back to the last time it happened when I couldn’t move or wake up whilst laying in bed”

“I can’t sleep, I’m aware, but I’m barely breathing/I can’t eat; these cold sweats are all that leads me”
