It doesn’t get any more Aussie than this guy, Liam Hennessy of Behind Crimson Eyes and Take Us To Vegas fame sent our servers crazy when we reported on his last shredding cover of the Bunnings Warehouse theme song… Well, he’s back, this time he’s covering the iconic VB theme for their 50 Years of Cheers Competition.
FYI – We’ve got no affiliation with VB (although we wish we would, call us VB xoxo) but Liam has nailed it again so we had to chat to him about it and if he’s got anymore songs in mind to cover in future
Mate, the last video you did of the Bunnings theme went viral, you even got mentioned over in New Zealand, how’d you find the response from that?
Haha so good! As some people know I like my DIY content, so I thought it was finally time I learnt the iconic song, such a banger.
This time around you’re doing the VB theme for their 50 Years of Cheers Comp. How hard was it to learn and rework the theme song?
Well, it was easier, but I left it too late, which probably makes it’s better cause I had no time to think, its just whatever comes first is it haha.
Well it’s worked for you, fingers crossed. You’re on a run now with reworking Australian iconic ads/themes, what are the chances of you doing more in future (just for fun)?
I wanna learn the Home Improvement Theme Song next, it’s relatable and the guitar is actually so sick!
Errrrr. Yeah, that’ll go down pretty well too. How do you think you’d go covering something locally, like the Play School or Home and Away themes?
Before you go, answer this: What’s better a VB Tallie or Tinnie?
Start on Tallies, finish with Tinnies…easier to crush.
You fence sitter haha best of luck with your entry mate!
