Melbourne’s The Charge announce follow up album to ‘Red Flags’

Melbourne hard-out rock 4-piece The Charge, today announce their second album release date. Order of the Owl, the follow-up to their critically-lauded debut, Red Flags, will rocket into existence on Friday September 18th.

The record was recorded, engineered and mixed by the Melbourne legend Reggie Bowman and features twelve tracks of straight up, balls to the wall rock. The new single for the band is the title track of the record.

The Charge will be releasing Order of the Owl through their own label – Angorilla Records.

The band couldn’t be prouder of the album, Ashley Jones, Front man and Guitarist, said that “Order of the Owl is a great way to follow up Red Flags – we are proud of that record and had a lot of kind words about that, but this one takes it a step further. This is our way of making a statement about the world and where we are at in it. The divide between the “haves” and the “have-nots” has never been wider.”

An East Coast album tour will follow the record’s release through October and November.

The Order of the Owl as an album is a narrative created by The Charge and the artwork will centre around “Moloch” – an ancient god-like figure worshipped or feared – Moloch is described as a watcher, with an over-arching view of world events and has been used in literature as a person or thing demanding or requiring a very costly sacrifice.

The Charge have found themselves among several high profile shows and tours, and saw them share the stage with several long time influences Bugdust, Dead Letter Circus, King Parrot, Floating Me, Over-Reactor and The Nerve, as well as three consecutive years in a row performing at Rock the Bay and Rock N Load as well as Brewtality Festival.

The album will be available on iTunes, all good online stores and from thecharge.com.au from Friday September 18th.

Cheers
