Found artifact: SUPERBLOOM, attributed to Silent Planet. Origins: California, USA.
Artifact features 12 audio tracks of heavy distorted music with moments of symphonic beauty and melody. Identified genre: progressive metalcore. Fifth such artifact in existence since 2009. SUPERBLOOM occurs one year after a serious tour accident that left vocalist Garrett Russell with serious injuries.
File 1: ‘Lights off the Lost Coast’ features ambient sound, possible audio representation of the album cover, which depicts three lights above a red sky as flowers bloom. Designed to create a false feeling of safety.

File 2: ‘Offworlder’ segues from file 1, slow pulsing beats that increase in tempo. Synthetic distorted vocals designed to sound alien. Breakdown engaged. Tempo increased. Likely to induce neck snapping during initial exposure.
File 3: ‘Collider’. Initially found in August, 2023, the track features layers of distorted guitar and keyboards. Clean vocals for verse section. Unclean vocals activated for bridge with chaotic guitar riffs. Drum loops identified. Riff drop present in the final section. Tested on an audience who were unable to stop fists pumping.

File 4: ‘Euphoria’ includes synth pop and traces of EDM. Heavenly clean vocals following fast-paced aggressive unclean shouting. Blood pressure rising. Test subjects began to convulse and jump into the air in time with the beat.
File 5: ‘Dreamwalker’ features synthetic automated vocal distortion alternating with spoken word. Appears designed as an anthem for disaffected youth seeking solace in an alternate reality. Monitor for subversive messaging. Breakdown needs to be sealed to prevent earth tremors.
File 6: ‘Antimatter’ contains sonic elements: PR (prog rock), EDM (electronic death metal), TH (trip-hop). Combination combusts after 1min, 37secs, creating a magnetic effect that draws listeners into its nexus. Possibly designed as an entry point for unsuspecting fans.

File 7: ‘:Signal:’ commences with ambient effects before riffing in djent style leading listeners to become disoriented and unable to recall basic personal facts, consistent with head trauma or concussion. Appears to have ghostly messages delivered via distorted robotic voices.

File 8: ‘Anunnaki’ suggests Silent Planet existed in the ancient past. Title is a reference to Sumerian deities. Potentially a declaration of war via the threatening phrase: “I Am Motion. I Am Retribution.”
File 9: ‘The Overgrowth’ appears to be a dedication to the natural world, specifically forests. However, layer analysis finds few naturally occurring elements beyond percussion and guitar strings. Eventually the lyrics reveal the presence of a “keeper of the grove”, indicating that the vocalist sees himself as a planetary protector.
File 10: ‘Nexus’. Classification: Progressive Metalcore recognisable by the use of clean and unclean vocals. Breakdown weight is gravity defying, enabling participants to launch themselves in the air for brief moments.
File 11 and 12: ‘Reentry’ and ‘SUPERBLOOM’. Key phrase: “This can’t be a dream if it’s not with you.” Silent Planet appears sentient and capable of human emotions. Traces of EMO found in vocal delivery. Potential to go viral if infected with the hook. Be wary of fans humming the melody. Final seconds loop back to the ambient textures of the first file.
Final analysis: Discovery of SUPERBLOOM is likely to lead people back to Silent Planet. Out of great misery and misfortune, the artefact is equal parts aggressive and melodic. Listeners should be wary of their surroundings when ingesting SUPERBLOOM as it may compel them to act violently by marching in circles or wanting to launch above a crowd of people. Melodic sections may relieve feelings of loneliness and lead to group hugging. Repeat listens are likely to reveal further feelings that should be shared with others who have also been on SUPERBLOOM.
