What better way to end our Year in Review series with no other than ten56. vocalist Aaron Matts. The Englishman is no stranger to Wall of Sound after bursting back into the heavy scene over the past couple of years with his new band's debut effort Downer.Ahead of CVLTFEST and their subsequent Australian tour with Emmure, ten56. are headed for a big one in 2024. We're sure as hell hoping we're going to get some new tunes from the nu-deathcore European beasts, but for now, let's see how Matts reflects on 2023.

I'm absolutely loving Psycho-Frame. Both of their EPs that came out this year absolutely rip. Skepta - 48 hours, Blink-182 - one more time is an incredible album. Knocked Loose double track was insane, and of course Downer Part 2 was alright *laughs*

Hellfest without a doubt, playing a show like that on home soil for us was an extremely important milestone for the band, an experience we'll never forget for sure!

TELL US A CORE MEMORY FROM A MUSIC FESTIVAL SET
Definitely Aftershock Festival in California, we had no idea what to expect and had our expectations set pretty low given it was our first time in the US, but the turnout and reaction was incredible, it was a really pleasant day for us all. We did a makeshift meet and greet right after the show and were just so thankful for all of the people that came to say nice things about our band. I'd do that day over again for the rest of my life and be a happy chap!

ANY SNEAK PEEKS OF INBOUND 2024 PLANS?
Not going to give too much away, but we have new music coming and we are incredibly excited about showing the world that the evolution of ten56. hasn't yet reached it's final form; honestly this project blew way out of proportion, so anything that comes out way as of now is just a bonus and we're really appreciative of that.
