Void of Vision's CHRONICLES era has been spectacular to experience, whether it's the three EP's culminating into a piece of art as an album, or each music video being as distinct as the last. Void of Vision are ready to farewell this era with the upcoming Das Ende headline tour this month. Whilst it's the end of an era for the band, it is time for a new age to begin with brand new single 'Angel of Darkness'.
A quieter wave of synths, clean vocals and poppy EDM influences instantly make this track feel refreshing. The overall tone feels so light-hearted and open for easy listening, particularly the chorus. It's so lovely to hear James McKendrick's clean vocals take centre stage here, without taking away from synth infused chuggy breakdowns featuring Jack Bergin's signature screams. The final outro of this single is a complex and fantastic collection of all the sounds present throughout this song.
Void of Vision have evolved throughout their career, keeping their music and stage presence exciting and fresh. The new era of Void of Vision is a prime example of how a band can evolve their sound and retain what makes them unique. I am truly excited to see what they can do with this sound.
