VB. Very Beautiful to some, Very Bogan to the non-believers and a Bloody Good Bunch of Folks to the music industry it seems because they want to give 3 local, upcoming bands the opportunity to tour up Australia's East Coast on a fully funded tour alongside some of Australia's biggest acts/bands! The prize also includes $5 Grand and Pre-Paid Time in a Rehearsal Space which you know will save a big chunk of the money the band has made (or lack of) so far.

Hard Yards is the name of the venture which is supported by Cosmic Psyschos frontman Ross Knight who explains:

It's hard work for touring bands. Booking supports, venues, lighting, logistics, luggage, and even just establishing an audience for your band in different cities, is no easy feat. But VB are going to give three young bands the chance to get a bit of help with load in... so to speak

For those who are keen, entries are Open until July 15th and they're looking for three bands, one from QLD, one from NSW and one from VIC to take part so if this sounds like something your band needs, enter right now via the website.

In July, punters will be invited to vote on shortlisted bands before the Hard Yards lineup is announced in August. The 3 Hard Yards winners will also receive $5,000 in cash along with pre-paid rehearsal room hire, to help limber up for some live music.
