New Developments for Sydney
After years of lobbying for change, 2024 will mark the first year music fans aged 16 and older will be allowed to attend the festival in Sydney – as long as they’re accompanied by a guardian. A HUGE win for the future of the heavy//alternative music scene.
Melbourne and Brisbane continue to support 15+ with guardian.

Our Predictions
We predicted a whopping 9 bands on the lineup this year
Kerry King – The former Slayer member just revealed in an interview they’ll be in Australia for a week and a half in December. That lines up nicely with GTF!
Destroy Boys – On GTF’s Instagram Post for the lineup drop date, their song ‘I Threw Glass at My Friend’s Eyes and Now I’m on Probation‘ is used, hinting they could be an addition.
Sum 41 – Guitarist Davey B told us they’re coming back to Australia before disbanding after their final show on January 30th 2025. No dates announced yet but they could well and truly deliver THE headliner farewell set of all time for metal and pop punk fans alike.
Mastodon / Baroness / Clutch – Speaking of metal bands… I couldn’t narrow down these three so they’re all getting a mention given how long it’s been since they were here last.
Electric Callboy – They said during our interview last year they’re coming back in 2024. Given that their first visit was for Good Things ’22, then a SOLD OUT headline tour exactly one year later, chances are that’s the best time to lock them in for tours here – main stage or bust though!
Killing Heidi – As part of the Aussie alternative flavour Good Things has added in recent years, plus, they are yet to pop up on this festival’s lineup.
Alpha Wolf – They’ve never played Good Things…yet!
Reliqa – First came Full Tilt Bris, then Monolith, then a signing with Nuclear Blast/Greyscale Records and a debut album – what’s next? Good Things main stage openers in my opinion.
Bowling For Soup – They’re celebrating 30 years as a band this year with a huge world tour that’s not got one mention of Australia… yet!
