It's post-hardcore pleasurable throwback time baby!
There's no denying the stranglehold Scary Kids Scaring Kids had on the scene in the boom of the 2000s. Blending whiney awe-inducing vocals with crunching riffs and screams, they fast became a household name within the genre and left a lasting legacy that fans still appreciate to this day - whteher they like to admit it or not!
Following the tragic passing of frontman Tyson Stevens, the band reunited to continue honouring his legacy by enlisting the help of fellow scene greats such as Craig Mabbit, Vic Fuentes, Jesse Cash and even Spencer Charnas for various fill-in spots at live shows. In Australia, the band will bring Violent New Breed's Albert Schweizer to honour their fallen comrade as they perform their breakthrough self-titled album and, in turn, revisit a time when it wasn't totally unacceptable to borrow your little sister's skinny jeans and black out your eyes.
Come on, we know you did - we've got the MySpace pictures to prove it too!
But what's a reunion without a special support in tow?
Joining SKSK will be another act that recently reunited to throwback to the glory scene days - A Skylit Drive! The former Californian screamo/emo kings sharing the stage across the country in November kicking off in Brisbane on the 14th before stopping into each Cap City on the touring circuit and wrapping up in Perth on the 19th.
Wanna relive your youth? go on, you know what to do!
