In what would have to be one of the BEST full circle stories going, guitarist E.V. Martel grew up listening to (and loving) MANOWAR, he started playing the guitar at age 8 and up until recently, was a member of the only official MANOWAR Tribue Band in the world. Now, he's taking things up a notch by joining the band on their Final World Tour after the shock revelations against former guitarist Karl Logan, who was arrested last year for possession of child porn.
Joey DeMaio was stoked to find E.V. it seems, as he revealed in a lengthy Facebook post stating:
“I can think of no one more deserving to play with MANOWAR than a fan themselves; one who has dedicated their entire life to our fans and our music and who he has proven to be a true Manowarrior!”
The band's Final Battle World Tour 2019 will kick off on February 25th in Tel Aviv, Israel and will span over 28 cities; from Siberian Russia to Germany, Scandinavia and Birmingham, England to the far west of France. Currently, no Australian dates have been announced but the band put a call out last year looking for promoters to hook them up with a tour down under, we are not sure how far that went and who jumped on the chance, but we'll keep you posted once we know more.
Well done to E.V. Martel though, what an achievement for a superfan to accomplish.
