This heartfelt statement soulfully serenaded by Chuck Ragan (and featuring Alexisonfire / City & Colour’s Dallas Green) is featured on Hot Water Music’s third single ‘After The Impossible’ from their awe-inspiring 10th album VOWS released in May this year. As if fulfilling their own lyrical prophecy, the Floridian Southern Gospel punk rockers have just announced their long-awaited headline return to Australian shores after a 14-year absence!
With an astonishing 30-year career including: 10 full-length records and an almost countless number of EPs, Split and Single releases, Hot Water Music are undeniably one of the most treasured outfits in the post-hardcore and gruff punk universe. With guitarist/vocalist Chuck Ragan’s unique husky croon exhilarating the punk and hardcore enthusiasts from around the world, backed by guitarist/vocalist Chris Wollard’s rocking roar and The Flatliners’ Chris Cresswell’s divine harmonies, the anthems are incredibly irresistible. The entire package is enhanced by Jason Black’s dazzling bass lines and George Rebelo’s riveting drumming and thankfully, both Australia and New Zealand will have the honour of witnessing this extravaganza in February 2025!
Chris Cresswell will be playing double duties for the tour, with the punk loving Canucks The Flatliners making their way down under for the first time since 2018 as the main support. Having sensationally shook audiences worldwide for over 20 years and constantly outdoing themselves with each LP, the quartet will assuredly and amazingly attack the crowds with pleasure on this Australian run.
The tour begins in Wellington and then navigates its way through Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Torquay comprising of an astonishing 10 shows in 11 days! As Jason Black (bass) excitedly expresses: "WE COULD NOT BE MORE STOKED to get back to Australia and New Zealand! Sorry for all the caps, but it's been 14 years since we've done any proper club shows down there, so we're really excited. We promise it won't be so long between this run and the next one."
