You Can Now Play As Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows In Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 + Heaps More!

Over the years, Avenged Sevenfold have been tied to the Call of Duty games with songs recorded for the soundtrack/gameplay and last year they released all four of them together on their Black Reign EP.
Well today for all of you metal/gamer fans, it's been revealed that not only will you be able to hear more of their songs throughout the game and unlock songs by playing different game modes BUT frontman M. Shadows (and Danny Trejo) will be a playable character in the latest Blackout update/instalment - Call of Duty Black Ops 4's Operation Apocalypse Z.
Shadows spoke about his history with the game during the live stream announcement (skip to 1:13:20), revealing why the band wanted to get involved and how it helped him overcome the passing of their late drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan:
"With something like Call of Duty, we were huge fans of it, we were playing it all the time, it really helped me through a hard time when we lost our best friend and drummer 'The Rev', I was playing a lot of games and I met a whole network of people through the game. So it was more of an emotional soft spot for me and for the guys"

He also touched on the fact players will be able to hear some of their songs playing when they're running about in the different game modes and there'll also be opportunities to unlock songs in the asylum as well, but Shadows also said he wants to talk to the art department for an idea he's been trying to pitch to them for a few years now:
"We need an Avenged Sevenfold level. We need an Avenged Sevenfold multiplayer map. Like it's like a stage and you're running, I've been bugging them for 5 years"
The new game mode is available now on PS4 and coming soon to other consoles... Game on kids!
