US Pop Punkers High Wire Seek Balance in New Song 'Up & Away'

If you're all about those infectious, happy-go-lucky melodies teamed with a slight chuggy riff, you can't go past US pop punkers High Wire. The band have been building up momentum through previous singles 'Good Enough' and 'Some Kind of Miracle' the past year, and now have just come soaring back with their best track yet, 'Up & Away'.

With soaring vocals, unapologetic lyrics and an explosive riff that sees the band level up next to pop punk heavyweights Fall Out Boy and Mayday Parade, High Wire are the latest cab off the ranks in the US scene that are worth your attention. 'Up & Away' is a song of unbalanced emotions and feelings, with vocalist/bassist Cameron Jones sharing:

“Up & Away” was actually left over from the previous EP that we hadn’t quite finished. The song depicts an out of balance relationship where the subject is being used and having to cover for the shortcomings of their partner. The majority of the lyrics are written by Mark and myself, and we try to keep the songs about broader subjects so that we can both come at it from our own perspectives. Most of our songs have the same overlying theme or idea but can often have different personal stories and connections for both of us."

High Wire officially unleash their forthcoming EP, Find Me Here: Part 1 this Friday via Adventure Cat Records. Pre-save here
