To The Grave Take A Second Axe Swing With Follow Up EP Everyone’s STILL A Murderer

Is there anyone moving harder through 2025 than To The Grave?

Fresh off some gnarly tours taking them nationwide with bands like Lorna Shore, alongside a hefty run soon to take off with heavy-hitters, I Killed The Prom Queen, TTG have proven that the need for an advocating voice prevails, even through the hustle. Featuring seven songs, this EP (titled STILL) showcases itself as a direct sequel to the 2024 album, Everyone’s A Murderer - a project which saw the Sydney death connoisseurs become more gruesome, more outspoken, and more prolific in their status within the Australian, and worldwide, scene. Now, they present!‍

Today, the band also dropped the single, ‘Show Them The Bodies’. Relentless from the very first second, Dane Evans’ palpable rage takes the form of a charged vocal missile, erratically swirling in a taunting feat of violence, threatening all those who dare press play. Partnered with callusing strums and hearty drums, there is no other option provided as the very core of their music infects you, seeping through the wounds and lesions it creates through the sheer brutality of their force and message. It seems as though with every release, To The Grave are solidifying their footing, seeping in deeper and taking aim harder, with the proportion of missed shots now dwindling among the zeros.

On the news, bassist/vocalist Matt Clarke shares:

"When we were starting on the songs for 'Everyone's A Murderer' and 'Still', we pulled out a bunch of older material from the vault to see if there was any gold we'd overlooked. We always loved the energy of this one and even used an earlier version for a live intro on previous tours. In the studio, we tweaked it a lot and gave it its own flavour. Now it's short and sweet, and violent – it's fun being this direct sometimes."

"The songs on 'Still' didn't fit the vibe of the rest of the 'Everyone's A Murderer' album, but we couldn't let these ones go... A lot of them are us trying new directions or flavours to see how far we can stretch the sound of this band, we hope the fans enjoy it as much as we did writing and recording them. Songs like 'Forced Diet Reassignment' and 'Sawed Off' are so strong live and have really found their place in our set on recent tours. It's exciting to be able to just do whatever we want and see what sticks. And capping it all off with a Cannibal Corpse cover was more of that same approach - doing what we want just for the fun of it."

With the addition of ‘Show Them The Bodies’, this marks three songs already unveiled from the EP. It seems we may have to wait until the 1st of August to hear the rest… unless!
