The Word Alive Return with Heavy New Single 'Nocturnal Future'

Following on from the release of a teaser video on Tuesday, Arizonian metalcore band The Word Alive have released their first single in two years, ‘Nocturnal Future’. The track comes after their 2020 album Monomania and is the first without guitarist Tony Pizzuti and drummer Matt Horn, who both departed the band during the forced break because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vocalist Telle Smith’s voice has only benefitted from the break and sounds the crispest it has in a while, still switching seamlessly between guttural screams and emotive cleans, while guitarist Zack Hansen demonstrates the flawless playing he’s known for. The track is a complete banger here's to hoping it comes with the announcement of more new music in the near future and who these new mystery musicians are to join The Word Alive.
