The Used Reveal Wholesome AF Music Video 'The Lighthouse'

If you've been living off the grid (moreso than the rest of us) and hadn't realised that The Used are back this year, give yourself an uppercut because the band have dropped a new video for their track 'The Lighthouse'. The song comes off of their latest record, Heartwork (our review here) and features Blink-182's own Mark Hoppus. The Used frontman Bert McCracken shares an important message behind their latest hit:
"Doubt can be an avalanche. It can cascade out and infect everything it touches. Inspiration is also infectious. The original chorus lyric was "I can’t be your lighthouse", until I was reminded by my 6 year old daughter that I can be and I am. It helps to remember that we all have the capability to inspire someone in our own way. Please enjoy our song The Lighthouse as much as we do. Love, Bert"
Featuring heartwarming lyrics such as "I can be your lighthouse", the track is an emotional, pop punk anthem which the band have dedicated to all frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Awww.
It's just a reminder that while you may have lost work and/or your daily lifestyle, there are still many working in the midst of it all, from healthcare nurses, doctors to tradespeople to your supermarket workers.
The Used's 8th studio release Heartwork is out now via Big Noise. Get it here.
