Simple Plan have released a song that isn't a sad emo ballad

Canadian emo outfit Simple Plan, known for their emo filled tunes such as Perfect, Welcome To My Life, and Untitled (How Could This Happen To Me) have released the official video for their new song Boom. This is the first time I've actually heard the song and surprisingly it's more upbeat than I was expecting to hear from the guys, I guess emo really did die when My Chemical Romance called it quits.
I'm probably being biased but I've always had a soft spot for Simple Plan since they were the first ever "Big Named" band I ever met and the new song is actually pretty catchy and fans of the pop punk genre will dig it too. They've also enlisted the help of members from popular bands like Pierce the Veil, All Time Low and New Found Glory to make cameos in the video and used footage from their recent performance at the Vans Warped Tour and the Alternative Press Music Awards.
Say what you will about the song, but it's hard to not sing along to this catchy tune. Their new album (which has the working title #SPalbum5) is due for release soon so I guess a welcome back is in order for Simple Plan!
Until next time, rock the fuck out
