Papa Roach Ramp Up The Energy With New Banger 'Kill The Noise'
Rockers Papa Roach have had an absolutely MASSIVE year, and we're not joking. Only six months ago, the band released their Greatest Hits Vol. 2 The Better Noise Years album (interview with vocalist Jacoby Shaddix here). The boys also included a new track on the record, called 'Broken As Me' feat. Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria.
Since then, the Roaches have continued to grace us with a heap of collaboration tracks, including 'DOMINATION' with Kayzo and Sullivan King, also 'Core (That's Who We Are)' with VIZE, and last (and absolute most) is 'Swerve' feat. Fever 333 & Sueco - an absolute killer track.
Well, for today's #NewMusicFriday we've got a brand new one for you called 'Kill The Noise' and word is that along with 'Swerve' it will feature on Papa Roach's upcoming record via their own label New Noize Records. No further album info yet, but we'll have it to you as it comes in.
On the new single Shaddix says:
“It’s easy to get caught up in some of that static inside your mind - we all tangle with that demon. For us, ‘Kill The Noise’ brings some straight-up heavy music catharsis, a reminder to find that moment of peace from the noise.”
After a bunch of remixes, collaborations and genre explorations, it's actually really cool to hear a signature Papa Roach song emerge. 'Kill The Noise' is straight up rock and has Shaddix blistering through verses of bouncy beats and crushing guitars. The chorus is an absolute anthem and will have you singing along the second time you hear it. The song has major Linkin Park vibes with its angsty 'shut-up' vocal scream halfway through and will have you squirming with joy for some nu-metal goodness.
