New Artist Development Enterprise Beastmode Announce Launch + Hardcore Festival

Australia's heavy music scene is thriving and new agencies are emerging to get the best out of your bands and brands each and every day! The latest to sprout up is one that's going to grab your attention instantly.
Beastmode is a new artist development and creative enterprise agency fronted by Candace Krieger and Joel Martorana with the purpose of supporting and strengthening niche artists. They're an independent management business, booking agency and promoter powerhouse with an already impressive lineup consisting of Colletto Bianco, Plantface, Peace Ritual and Whatever, Forever.
"When you’ve spent countless hours on the road touring and sleeping on floors all over the world, you truly understand what talented upcoming artists are expected to sacrifice. When you’ve also worked on stadium level touring acts, you’ve experienced and appreciated the true artist journey. beastmode is an independent management, booking and promoter powerhouse by people who know the highs and lows because we’ve already been there ourselves." - Candace Krieger
The purpose of this new business comes after Candace and Joel witnessed too many bands calling it a day following the pressures of the music industry. They intend on doing the hard business side of things, while artists can continue to be artists without the headaches of the industry dragging them down.
"I’ve always been called an enabler for my friend's bad ideas, now I’m excited to enable talented artists to keep creating and not have to worry about pressures from the industry." adds Krieger.

Coming up on a decade in the music industry, Krieger first started out booking club shows before jumping into digital marketing for Xbox across the Asia Pacific and later setting herself up as a driving force at Crowbar in Sydney through 2019. Having toured the world as a photographer and tour manager, Candace then joined global entertainment agency WME - working alongside acts like Lizzo, Fatboy Slim, Billy Idol, Faith No More, Dua Lipa, Grimes, Gang of Youths, Joji, A$AP Ferg and Tyler the Creator.
Joel on the other hand has come off 10 years of international touring with Sydney rock outfit Endless Heights. His band saw their own successes with three critically acclaimed releases, high rotation on Triple J and sold-out headline tours across Australia. Martorana also brings his own experience as an artist, music video producer and technology/project manager to the beastmode skill set.
“We’ve been heartbroken too many times when talented and groundbreaking artists throw in the towel when they’re sick of playing the game,” says Joel Martorana.
In celebration of their new business - the pair have also announced the first Back on the Map Hardcore Festival on June 12th at The Factory Theatre in Sydney with a stacked lineup of hardcore heroes including Speed, and No Apologies, who will be playing their first show since 2008 (that's 14 years kids!). Playing across the day will also be AWOL, Born Free, Bust, The Chain, Gravitate, Jokes On You, Knuckledragger, Mauler, The Others, Nerve Damage, Phantoms and Primitive Blast.
