Mayday Parade Remain Hopeful with New Single 'Thunder'
2000s emo/pop outfit Mayday Parade have unveiled a brand new single today titled 'Thunder', only months after the band earlier this year released their latest full-length album, What It Means To Fall Apart.
'Thunder' highlights Mayday Parade's strong ability to pull out emotional anthems that reach right into the inner workings of your most vulnerable self. It's a song to play when relationships get tough but there's still a small part of you that's willing to keep the fire burning, as guitarist Brooks Betts shares:
“‘Thunder’ is a song I wrote about being in a long-term relationship, feeling like at times the fire is gone but that it’s still worth holding onto. Don’t give up! All relationships are tough but the good ones are worth it.”
The track comes as the boys are set to embark on Sad Summer Fest in the US this weekend. Mayday Parade recently toured Australia this April with Real Friends to celebrate ten years of their self-titled LP, making them one of the first international acts to tour the country post-Covid.
