Korn's Brian 'Head' Welch Has Released A New Track From His Side Project Love And Death

KoRn's Brian 'Head' Welch has reinvigorated his side-project Love And Death and released the single 'Down'. This is the band's first release since their 2013 record Between Here & Lost, and is just the beginning of the next era for the band.

The project has historically been an opportunity to be musically expressive beyond the realms of KoRn's nu-metal recipe, as many side projects tend to be.

Having recently signed to Earache Records, the band have also announced that they'll be releasing a new album, Perfectly Persevered on 12 February 2021. Head (on lead vocals and guitar) is joined by Jasen Ryan Rauch,  guitarist of Breaking Benjamin, (but playing bass for Love And Death) as well as several other bandmates.

The song 'Down' certainly brings in elements of the musicians' respective band histories, but also something fresh in its emotive and highly melodic sound. The four-minute track gets heavy towards the end as Head growls behind a faster instrumental pace. Seems like a very promising album ahead for Love And Death
