KNOSIS Teams Up with Hanabie's Yukina in Chaotic New Single 'Fuhai'
By now, you should know the King of Japanese metalcore is back. That's right, Ryo Kinoshita with his project KNOSIS is once again dropping heat with the new single 'Fuhai', featuring none other than the Queen of the same genre and area, Hanabie.'s ferocious frontwoman Yukina. That's not all, the track is KNOSIS's first release through their new label, none other than the legendary Sharptone Records.
KNOSIS burst onto the scene in late 2022, not as a band but as a concept- a collection of songs to express new ideas hitherto left untold by two Japan-raised creatives. Having toured and worked together through bands such as Survive Said The Prophet and Crystal Lake, Ryo and Yosh Morita are the creative forces behind this experimental project.
The new release 'Fuhai', meaning rot, brings out another side of KNOSIS' musical capabilities. In what Ryo described as 'kawaii meets Machine Head meets Dying Fetus', its eclectic mishmash of influences pulls together a banger of a song. Catchy verses, with an attitude-dripping chorus and brutal breakdown- the vocal feature from Yukina is the cherry on top of an already tasty offering.
Accompanied by a chaotic music video masterpiece directed by none other than Things.JP (the team behind Paledusk's wild visuals), it marks a new chapter in what can only be described as the KNOSIS takeover.
