In This Moment Announce 8th Studio Album GODMODE And Release New Single 'The Purge'

Since the 2020 release of Mother, In This Moment has been busy. Releasing a reimagined EP to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Blood, having their song 'I Would Die For You' appear on the soundtrack for John Wick: Chapter 4 AND putting together their eight-studio album GODMODE, set for release on October 27th - which I know is still a little while to wait, but thankfully the band have also given us single 'The Purge' to sate our appetites and get us very keen for the album.

Guitarist Chris Howolth explains the song came from the band’s personal experiences during the pandemic and the daily unrest that was driving society apart. He says that “Mother” and frontwoman Maria Brink let all of her pent-up frustration and angst out into the lyrics and performance, creating a crazy, visceral song.

Maria herself says - “The underlying message of the song is to not fall too deeply into the rabbit hole, everything is about finding balance. I had a lot of emotions building within me when I approached the song for the first time and after years of holding it all in I finally got to let it out!”  

With the song’s slinky, sexy vibes and swarming feel, it will be hard for us not to go down the rabbit hole that is In This Moment. Check it out and get ready to bow down for GODMODE.
