Here's Your First Taste of Simple Plan's New Single 'The Antidote'!

If you know me well, you'll know that I have been a huuuge supporter of Simple Plan over the years, having seen them all over Australia and North America way back pre-COVID and caught up with the band during their last visit to Australia on Good Things Festival 2019. Anyway, if you've been on the band's social media this week, you'll see that they've finally announced that a brand new song titled 'The Antidote' will be dropping next Friday November 5th. Hell fucking yeah. Are you as excited as I am?

Shout out to the SP fans over at SimplePlan.CZ for bringing this to my attention, but Simple Plan frontman Pierre Bouvier hosted a TikTok Live this week alongside Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix. During the stream, Pierre gave us all the very FIRST sneak preview of the band's forthcoming new track. Let me tell you right now, just from this tiny preview, 'The Antidote' so far freaking RULES. It's a little more in the emo pop direction, rather than their nostalgic pop-punkier roots — that's not a bad thing though. I don't know about you, but after hearing this, hype levels for next Friday just went up tenfold.
