Guns N' Roses reform (kinda).....but is it same old Axl?

So it's official, we have a reunion (of sorts) for '80/90's icons, Guns N' Roses. Whilst only Duff McKagan, Slash and Axl Rose are 100% confirmed to be playing together it's still unclear who will make up the rest of the band.

Wall of Sound has already looked at some depth into this dilemma back in November, read all the gory details here.

Here's what we can tell you though....

*   the band will be headlining Coachella Music And Arts Festival and will play on April 16 and April 23 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California (already sold out)

*  GNR are also seeking to mount a 25-city stadium tour, with the band reportedly asking for anywhere from $3 million to $5 million a show

Whether we see GNR in Australia in this guise....we'll just have to wait and see.

Axl and Slash last played together on July 17, 1993 at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires. Since that time their have been a bucketload (and a Buckethead) of GNR band members as Axl continued the band right up until their last run of shows in Las Vegas 2014.

......and Axl might still be the cause of many heart palpitations for promoters on the upcoming tours having already cancelled a proposed guest spot to announce the reunion shows on USA's Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Will it be a case of same old Axl?

A lot of questions still remain. Will Axl play on time? Will any Slash, Duff or post-Slash GNR songs make it onto the setlist? Will Axl stop eating Taco Bell? We won't have to wait long. Good, bad or ugly it's sure to make headlines.....stay tuned!

In the meantime check out this very cool compilation of how Axl Rose's vocal range has changed over the year. What we wouldn't give to be in that mosh pit back in 1988...hell, even 2006 sounds great......2014?....no comment.

But, let's be positive for now....here's some other 'semi' reunion shows various members have played over the last decade or so....enjoy.
