Groovin The Moo announces 2018 lineup

Jan 29, 2018
4 min read

Last year we saw heavy/rock bands like Architects, Against Me!, The Darkness and Violent Soho appearing on the annual Groovin The Moo Festival lineup and this year, although there's not as many heavy/rock bands to catch, their popularity/status is well worth the limited supply.

The Amity Affliction will take the reigns for melodic-hardcore fans to froth over, while Royal Blood will get the crowd moving with tracks from their new album How Did We Get So Dark? Grinspoon will bring the nostalgia factor, especially if they're still playing their Guide To Better Living set and Paul Kelly is set to show the kids how to get it done with his extensive career full of bangers. Skegss, Alex Lahey and Killing Heidi frontwoman Ella Hooper round out the last of the decent "bands to see" list for us.

For those hoping to see The Amity Affliction's 15 Year Anniversary set from their UNIFY 2018 appearance you can probably get those ideas out of your head now because when we asked frontman Joel Birch (interview here) if he'd be playing those shows on a tour, he was quick to shut the idea down stating:

"Hell no, no no no, this is it."
