Frankenbok Reintroduce Original Singer and Unleash Beastly New Single 'Demon Tantrum'

For the uninitiated: believe it or not, the career of Melbourne stalwarts Frankenbok is pushing three decades. They are a band that just keeps on keeping on, through all the ups and downs, trials and tribulations, greetings and salutations, loopholes and excuses . . .

Something they’ve gone through over the course of their career has been regular changes of frontman. And now they’ve come full circle, cycling all the way back to their original singer from the late nineties and into the early 2000s, Adam ‘Hutch’ Glynn. Interestingly enough, they’ve had a grand total of four singers in their time, two called Adam and two called Dan.

It's all rather symmetrical.

What is unequivocally not symmetrical however, is their brand new single, the appropriately titled ‘Demon Tantrum’. It’s a twisted, discordant headfuck of a track, and when you combine it with the must-see (if you enjoy the more macabre side of things) music video, it becomes a shocking horror movie that assaults your senses unrelentingly for just under four minutes. The production on the track is joyously old-school, and it’s fantastic to have Glynn back in the fold, releasing his first new music with the band for over twenty years.

It's clear from the outset that age hath not wearied him. He brings the grunt and the quirk in equal measures.

No word on this yet, but if there is a larger release on the way, we are in for a treat.
