Fox Lake Serves Up 'Gaslight' feat. Marc Zelli of Paleface
With a hardcore / hip-hop fusion, Denver's Fox Lake are back in action with new single 'Gaslight'. The track is a follow-up to 'Dog Eat Dog' with both featuring on their forthcoming EP Fear & Loathing. Today's new release features Swiss deathcore musician Marc Zelli of Paleface who just dropped an amazing record Fear & Dagger (our review here).
On the new single, Fox Lake comments:
“Gaslight is our heaviest and meanest song to date. The anger that comes from questioning your own reality, whether that comes from external or internal forces, is very hard to deal with and that’s what we wanted to tackle in this song. We’re so thankful to Zelli from Paleface for hopping on the track and absolutely killing it. He brought a level of intensity to the song that simply couldn’t have existed coming from anyone else.”
'Gaslight' leads in with strong production and some deep hardcore roots. With an aggressive vocal tone aligning perfectly with the musical style, Fox Lake quickly flex into a rap-verse while the eerie riffs continue soaring. At the two-minute mark Zelli comes in with his brutal uncleans that takes the ferocity of this track to the next level.
Listen to the new single at midnight local time.
