Feast Your Senses with Vitriol's Mind-Boggling New Single 'Shame And Its Afterbirth'

Conversely, it unfolds as an unbridled onslaught – a deliberate embrace of chaos that takes the most abrasive elements of musical extremity conceivable, and forcibly subjects them to the sonic meat grinder. The objective is not merely to captivate, but to decimate, and the Portland natives exhibit a deft hand at treading this fine line between ensnaring the senses, and pushing their cacophonous sound to the precipice of total annihilation.

The unveiling of Vitriol’s latest single, ‘Shame and its Afterbirth’, emphatically stakes To Bathe From The Throat Of Cowardice as a mere prelude to the band’s sadistic vision. The twisted, demented ringing of guitar that introduces the track elicits that grating sensation of metal-on-metal; and would you believe, its perhaps the most palatable moment of the song. What follows is a deluge of pummeling drums and dense bass guitar, signaling the impending blitzkrieg that awaits. Kyle Rasmussen’s throat-shredding vocals then surface as if summoned from a stygian abyss – visceral and all-consuming in ferocity – spearheading an instrumental barrage that violently eviscerates your ear canal like a beast possessed.

And just when you finally experience some relief, riding the mind-bending guitar runs that intricately glide across this torrent of noise, you’re once again inundated with overwhelming sonorous force, and deposited back into the pits from which you came.
