Emmure Share Unreleased Track 'Sons Of Medusa' on Anniversary of Hindsight's Release

Over the weekend, deathcore outfit Emmure celebrated the one year anniversary of their record Hindsight (our review here) by sharing an unreleased track that was unused from when recording. The band shared that 'Sons of Medusa' was intended to be used as an intro track for the album, but are happy to be sharing it with the world now. The band ended up going with '(F)inally (U)nderstanding (N)othing' as an intro-track to the monster record.

Albeit short (a minute and a half), 'Sons of Medusa' is raw and heavy, in true Emmure style. The production is superb and captures the band's essence with an imminent mood of how the song would appear as an intro-track. It's probably not to be treated as a single, and rather a b-side or (as the band states) an unused track that they wanted to share on the album's anniversary.

Whether we'll get to hear any new music from Emmure this year is unknown, however in the past few weeks vocalist Frankie Palmeri and the band have been more active than usual across socials, particularly Twitter, so maybe something is in the works. For now, enjoy 'Sons of Medusa' and jump on Hindsight for some mid-COVID lockdown nostalgia.
