Eat Your Heart Out Uncover Themselves in 'Twenty Something'
In case you've been living under a rock, Newcastle's Eat Your Heart Out have reappeared out of the shadows this year with their sophomore LP, Can't Stay Forever preparing for lift-off on September 9 via Fearless Records.
The Australian alt/pop punk rockers have just unveiled their third single for the year, 'Twenty Something', and this one's for all those Gen Zers in a quarter-life crisis. It's also Eat Your Heart Out's catchiest track yet — featuring a desirable hook that'll absolutely cater to any hardcore Between You and Me fan. Of their latest track, frontwoman Caitlin Henry shares:
"It's about the weird stage of being in your mid-20s and seeing everyone around you in all different stages of life. It can definitely throw some doubt and make me question if I'm on the right path sometimes, even when I usually feel very solid in my choices. It's definitely one of the more lighthearted tracks on the record."
Your twenties are definitely a weird time in life, but as someone who's been there, done that, my top tip for all the twenty-somethings out there: don't stress, have fun with everything you do and have zero regrets about anything. This life is too short and nothing is permanent. Except maybe your health — so sign up for that gym membership well before your thirties and you'll be right.
That's enough life lessons from me. If you want more hot takes and tips on life, hit up bossman Browny and convince him that Wall of Sound should launch a life lessons in pop punk segment. In the meantime, jam 'Twenty Something' as your new hype song this week.
