Earthbøund Return With Post-Pandemic Belter 'Phantom'

Reigning from Gippsland, Victoria - Earthbøund have effortlessly slipped into the local metalcore scene with a trio of EPs over the past few years. After dropping both their debut and sophomore releases Solstice and Liquify in 2020, they went on to drop Evergreen (our review here) in 2020 (featuring tracks like 'Eden'. We had a good chat to the band about their pre-COVID release (read our interview here), and now we're ready for their post-pandemic return. After hearing their 2021 single 'Silence', we're feeling hopeful it's a sign of what's to come.

Today Earthbøund have dropped their first track of the year, and it's called 'Phantom'. To say it's leaps and bounds ahead of what anyone expected is an understatement. With stepped-up production and a filthy raspy unclean vocal style, the Aussies demonstrate they're serious about this bizz. With an early-Architects influence, Earthbøund sweep into the happy zone of bouncy and heavy. The pre-ending breakdown is like a shock from a horror movie, absolutely wild - someone sign these guys immediately.
