David Desrosiers Returns To Simple Plan Following Two Year Mental Health Hiatus

He's been notably absent from the band's live shows recently (including their Anniversary Tour of Australia last year) and now Simple Plan have revealed where bassist David Desrosiers has been all of this time via Facebook and, as expected, it was for good reason he took time off:

We are so happy to welcome back our friend and brother David Desrosiers on stage with us tonight in Cleveland after a 2 year hiatus. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
It’s been a long and difficult journey for David fighting depression and mental health issues and we are so thrilled to know he’s doing better and feels ready to join us again on the road. We look forward to having him play with us at all our shows this summer and be a part of our new #spalbum6

David and the band would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to all our fans for the support you have shown him during his time away. Your messages of love and encouragement have meant so much and we can’t wait to play for you and share our new music. 🖤🖤🖤🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Keen to see what the guys do for the next album and glad to see they're all back together again. Times get tough and even our musical heroes need a chill from time to time to clear their heads and get their lives back on track again.

If you or anyone you know needs help with their own mental well-being call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 or find your closest Suicide Prevention/Crisis Support Organisation on Google…
