Capstan Deliver Their Heaviest Single Yet with 'Alone' Featuring Silverstein's Shane Told!

US post-hardcore outfit Capstan are coming out with some impressive tracks this year. The first single which the band dropped earlier this year, 'Shades of Us' gave us massive insight into the band's future and had me holding on for even more. While follow-up singles 'Abandon' and 'Take My Breath Away' proved that Capstan have enormous versatility in their sound, displaying prolific breakdowns and catchy melodies, I reckon these guys will have EVERYONE on board with their fourth single.
'Alone' is the first of three collaborations on Capstan's forthcoming album SEPARATE and dives into darker lyrical substance here. The band have shared that their newest single is about:
"...the power of music and community to light ourselves up when we're feeling most alone; it's a beacon of light when we're consumed by darkness and pain."
Stomping straight in with a monster riff that kinda keeps the song in line with the raw vulnerability of the lyrics, 'Alone' delivers an underlying meaning about the importance of seeking support when you find yourself most vulnerable. All up, it's a monster track pulling in some big energy fro 2000s emo/post-hardcore influences like Silverstein and I don't think I could love any other new release this week more than 'Alone'.
Definitely do not sleep on anything Capstan drop this year from here on out. We're looking at quite the unstoppable force in alternative/post-hardcore when the album drops this month. Get amongst Capstan now.
