Brissie Hardcore Heroes Strange Fiction Serve Up 'Day For It'

Our love affair with Brisbane hardcore act Strange Fiction dates back to their 2020 Captivated by the Chaos EP and we've been waiting for new material following '100 Fucking Percent' which they released just before Christmas last year... Now they're back with a vengeance and screams that'll get you snapping your necks in no time!

The lads have just dropped new song 'Day For It' which is full of harmonic pinching alongside frontman Grant McMillan's arousing screams and killer drumming from Miguel Mendoza. The instrumentals continue with their ETID-esque inspiration and since those lads aren't active anymore (still not over this) maybe we should turn our attention to the next generation.

On the song, Grant tells us:

"This song was inspired by an absolute banger of a weekend where we got our group of friends, rented out a mansion to celebrate a birthday in what ended up being one of the most ridiculous weekends ever. So much shenanigans went on and each day we woke up to a 'Day For It' to kick on and party!

We had heaps of fun writing this track and we hope the fun translates well making the punter feel like their having a 'Day For It'"

The gang has been playing around the local scene for the past few months and it's only a matter of time before they get picked up for bigger shows - if this new track is anything to go by, I'll put them on my own show if I have to!

Give 'em a spin!
