Bloom Lament Lingering Love in New Single 'The Works of You'

After starting the year by dropping 10/10 album Maybe In Another Life, Bloom is bookending the year with bangers with their brand new single 'The Works of You'.

The Sydney melodic metalcore act has been at the forefront of the next wave of Australian alternative music. Currently, the band is halfway through their first-ever North American tour, supporting metalcore icons Miss May I and fellow Aussies, In Hearts Wake.

Backing up such an expertly written album like Maybe In Another Life was always going to be a challenge, but it was just a starting point in this band's musical evolution. 'The Works Of You' navigates through both shades of light a dark, dipping into the melodic while being driven forward with aggression. Lyrically, it discusses the theme of how love can linger long after it has left your life and once again, Bloom have been able to perfectly encapsulate the emotion in their lyrics through their sound.

"The Works Of You' explores how love can come to shape you," explains the band. Bloom likens love to art, "how it can come in many shapes and forms, its distinct staying power, and how hearts can become galleries themselves."

If their music is anything to go by, then Bloom are well versed in what art entails.
