Birds of Tokyo tug on the heartstrings with their new breakup ballad 'Good Lord'

Breakups fucking suck. Most of us have been through one. Some of those were not by choice. But the one thing that remains the same is the feeling of grief that overtakes the body for a few days/weeks/years (in some cases) and the only way we can combat that is with a sad song that relates to your current situation.
Birds of Tokyo have captured that moment and put it in a song called 'Good Lord' which is about frontman Ian Kenny's relationship breakdown and consequential ending. The way he even explains what the song is about in this video is heartwrenching to watch as a fan, let alone someone (who literally) just went through their own breakup.
Birds of Tokyo - 'Good Lord' (teaser)New single 'Good Lord' 💔 out now: birdsoftokyo.lnk.to/GoodLordYou get married and you think you’re gonna live happily ever after. But one day unexpectedly you see something that literally shatters your whole world. Then you have to spend years trying to put your head and heart back together. I know I’m not the first person to go through it, and unfortunately I won’t be the last, but it still hurt like hell and you can hear that in this song. -Kenny
