Behemoth Unleashes New Single 'Ov My Herculean Exile' & Announced New LP OPVS CONTRA NATVRAM

Polish black metal masters Behemoth have shared new song 'Ov My Herculean Exile'. If the single is anything to go by, fans are in for a hell of a time in terms of what might be in store for the rest of the year. Their last first full release was 2018's I Loved You at Your Darkest.

'Ov My Herculean Exile' kicks off with a slow burning riff, backed by a choir. Nergal's trademark grunting vocal style cuts through the cacophony of noise and the song continues the slow, menacing tempo. It picks up for the chorus but does take a while to reach the breakneck blast beats one is expecting. This is very much in the style of their more recent albums, still blackened metal but not the relentless, impenetrable fury of their early records.

The new single comes from the band's recently announced album OPVS CONTRA NATVRAM which is set for release via Nuclear Blast on 16th September. The album translates to Work Against Nature.

Behemoth has hardly sold out (can a satanic black metal band ever go commercial?) but certainly have a song that will work in their increasingly bigger venues. The band have already debuted the song live on their USA co-headline tour with Arch Enemy.
