ARCHITECTS and House Of Protection Team Up for Thrashy AF Belter 'Brain Dead'

The time has come for the rest of the world to hear what ARCHITECTS and House Of Protection have been working on with their thrash metal collab 'Brain Dead' - taken from 'TECT's forthcoming album The Sky, The Earth & All Between.

As per our album review, the track is 100% "balls to the wall from start to completion" as the UK metal giants take inspiration from Aric Improta and Stephen 'Steevis' Harrison's fierce new project's realm for a menacing approach that finds both bands complimenting each other's musical styles with a precision and aggression that'll certainly snap necks in the process. The music video harks back to the 90s/00s era as both Sam Carter and HoP take to the streets of LA causing a ruckus along the way.

The pairing of bands shouldn't come as a surprise as both have been under the watchful guise of Jordan Fish. Back in December of 2024, we caught up with HoP prior to their Australian Tour supporting Bad Omens, and Stephen shared personal insights into how the collab came to be:

"Jordan Fish was working on their album and I guess when they were writing the song, they were talking about having us on it and they sent it over [and] we’re like ‘this is sick’ and yeah we just jumped on it and it’s dope."

"Love those guys. I met Sam [Carter] when I was 17 on one of my first tours in England and I’ve been an ARCHIETCTS fan ever since."

In our recent interview with Sam Carter, he further elaborated on the pairing and relationship, revealing:

"We've known them for so long. Steevis was in The Chariot and he's been in so many cool bands. So for him to find a home with House... was unbelievable. I remember [he] moshed so hard to Early Grave on Warped Tour once that he broke somebody's arm. So he's been a life long ARCHITECTS mosher. We love that band so much."

With a forward thinking and established band like ARCHITECTS teaming up with a relatively newly launched act like House Of Protection, it opens new doors to potential fanbases from both parties and helps the project get eyes on them that may not have come across their antics before.

HoP's drummer/vocalist Aric Improta further added to the conversation, expressing his appreciation for the band taking them on before any music was even released:

“I think one of the coolest things about ARCHITECTS is they had heard some of our material early, like before it had come out, and they asked us before anything came out. And for them to be on board like that was fucking awesome."

"Not that we’re like, elitist or anything, everybody’s cool to do their own thing. But we don’t like the sound of everything. So we’re only going to collaborate on stuff that we really genuinely enjoy.” Aric on teaming up with ARCHITECTS for 'Brain Dead'.
