APATE Announce Human Warfare Signing; Drop New Song 'Gasoline Anthem'

Brisbane brutes APATE have some goooood news to share with us all, they've signed with Andy Marsh's music label Human Warfare! The announcement comes alongside the release of the band's brand spankin' new song/video for 'Gasoline Anthem' which unclean vocalist Zakk Ludwig explains:

“Lyrically, Gasoline Anthem is the process I went through as I slowly came to terms with my upbringing and the things I went through. Although I experienced a lot of things that a child should never be subject to, like physical, mental, drug and alcohol abuse, as an adult I have come to realize that it shaped me into who I am now. It has solidified to me that I don’t want to perpetuate the same vicious and violent cycle that was once inflicted on me."

Hard-hitting subject matter like that is certainly not new to the heavy music scene - we all remember the powerful performance and writing on Northlane's Alien album which stemmed from frontman Marcus Bridge's own upbringing. Countless fans who were sadly in the same boat as Bridge found his songs to be a cathartic release from their own upbringings so to see APATE keeping the conversation going with their own contribution to the discussion proves it's a topic that needs to be spoken about.

If you or anyone you know needs help with their own mental well-being call Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636, Lifeline on 13 11 14, or find your closest Suicide Prevention/Crisis Support Organisation on Google…

Give the new offering a spin and congratulate the lads on their socials!
