It's happened. Linkin Park have finally shared their news with the world.

Following wildfire assumptions that resulted in Sum 41's Derryck Whibley having to release a personal statement saying that he wasn't becoming the new singer; pandemonium and frenzied assumptions spread across social media like fake news, and god it was hilarious!

Today though, as fans in the hundreds of thousands logged into a live stream event on YouTube - where the group not only debuted their first new song in 7 years called 'The Emptiness Machine', but announced Emily Armstrong (Dead Sara) as their new singer, taking the place of Chester Bennington who passed away 2017 - we were also met with a new album announcement titled From Zero which is set for release on November 15th.

About the new era, Mike Shinoda stated:

“Before LINKIN PARK, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future—embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life. It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what LINKIN PARK has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead.”

Drummer Rob Bourdon looks to have departed the outfit with Colin Britainn in his place as drummer/co-producer. Shinoda further elaborated,

“The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and the things we created. We feel really empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energized new music we’ve made together. We’re weaving together the sonic touchpoints we’ve been known for and still exploring new ones.”
