If you've been keeping an eye on Taylor Barber over the last few years, you would know that the man doesn't know how to sit still. It would seem that when he isn't touring with his band Left To Suffer, working on new music with Project: Vengeance, or recording guest vocals for other acts, the versatile vocalist wouldn't have time for much other than sleep.
The frontman has managed to squeeze a few hours into his schedule to form emerging musical supergroup Seven Hours After Violet with his high profile musician friends System Of A Down's bassist Shavo Odadijan, Winds of Plague drummer Josh Johnson, Winds of Plague guitarist Michael Montoya and alternative rock/indie musician Alejandro Aranda of Scarypoolparty.

The quintet have burst out of the gates with debut offering 'Paradise', which pulls influence from each member's traditional styles and usual sounds, which spans a number of sub-genres within the realm of metal. This seemingly offers each member their own opportunity to flourish within the three minutes long song.
Odadijan's background of progressive metal shines through while Johnson and Montoya deliver their staple soundscape of beefy instrumentals. Barber competently displays his versatility as a frontman with his wide range of unclean vocals while Aranda steals the moment with his clean singing throughout the chorus.
Without a second to waste, the group will make their live performance debut at Mayhem Festival in San Bernadino, California, on October 12th, which is due to be headlined by Bad Omens, Parkway Drive and Architects.
The question on everyone's mind is where this new venture will take these already successful musicians. The fresh and exciting collaboration between them promises to be worth following as they continue to evolve and grow from here.
