The Last Martyr Team Up With Emo Rapper Rivilin For ‘The Nihilist’

Truly developing their own space in the genre, cyberpop metalcore act The Last Martyr are taking no prisoners with their latest single ‘The Nihilist‘. Featuring up-and-coming emo rapper Rivilin, it shows another side of this dynamic quartet. The Last Martyr will also be celebrating this release with The Nihilist East Coast headline tour, that kicks off on the 24th of May.

Last year when we caught up with singer Monica Strut was promising that their best music yet was to come and the band have backed up the claim. Dropping singles ‘Antidote‘ and ‘Burn it Down‘ with no shortage of shows in their hometown of Melbourne/Naarm, the momentum for The Last Martyr is only building.

‘The Nihilist’ marks yet another phase in the band’s sound evolution. Monica’s vocal range is on full display and is guided by the song’s constant stylistic switch-ups. Dipping into some classic nu-metal influences, while retaining a modern core element; the feature from Rivilin further leans into this genre-blend.

With so many layers and influences, ‘The Nihilist’ is one of those tracks where you notice something new on every spin.
