This proves no different for the act’s latest single, ‘LOVE IS A…’, diving headfirst into the stimulating world of alt-pop, offering another delectable taste of what is sure to be one of PVRIS’ most unpredictable bodies of work to date.
Without a second to waste, ‘LOVE IS A…’ takes an immediate dive into a seductive and sultry soundscape, with Lyndsey Gunnulfsen optimizing her siren-like vocals to enchant through this otherwise delicate opening verse. As the intensity shifts, the track houses a chorus that is striking, gliding upon a smooth electro-pop instrumental feat as a solid foundation for the heightened flair. This creates a perfect runway as the track culminates into an overlaid collection of roaring sounds and layered auditory concoctions. Finally, ‘LOVE IS A…’ adopts one last shift, merging back to a slow and delicate outro that intertwines beautifully with the track's initial and gentle invitation to the listener.
