It's been a slow burn for The Amity Affliction fans in the lead up to the release of their new album on May 12th - and today we see a new side of the band with their slowest track from the upcoming release so far which also serves as the record's title track.

Following on from 'Show me Your God', 'I See Dead People' and 'It's Hell Down Here', the band strip things back instrumentally on 'Not Without My Ghosts', but still showcase frontman Joel Birch's screams alongside bassist/clean vocalist Ahren Stringer's iconic melodic performance with alt-pop artist phem offering a female touch to the track.

Being a long-term Amity fan, I've seen various styles of this kind of song released over the years and can safely say, this is their new version of 'Open Letter', 'Drag The Lake', 'All Fucked Up' and 'Shine On'- I can picture it being their new show closer, full of sparklers, confetti and sing-a-longs galore, as it is both epic in sound and beautifully put together.

On the song, Joel says it's about:

“the way you can’t travel through life without dragging the ghosts of your past behind you, and how they manifest in their various forms.”

Not long now until new TAA arrives and they're hitting the road in celebration with shows already selling out around the country - don't miss out!
