Next month DevilDriver are dropping their tenth album Dealing with Demons II, May 12 to be exact. The record out via Napalm Records will include powerful lead-single ‘Through the Depths‘ as well as brand new one ‘If Blood Is Life‘.
The Californian groove metalers are delivering their first full-length since their 2020 album Dealing with Demons, and three years later we couldn't be more ready, particularly with how these latest tracks are faring.
‘If Blood Is Life‘ displays a fresh focal view on drums alongside some tasty riffs with Dez Fafara's signature gruff vocal delivery standing tall. Whilst there's nothing overly reinventive about this track, it's a hot new listen from the band to add to the rotation. With four-minutes of hellish tones, DevilDriver carry out the full journey of headbanger heaven.
On the new single Fafara comments:
"Shadows of the future, ghosts of your past walking the floor - why do these things haunt us as humans, when we should be focused on the fact that, like the chorus says, 'Time, it waits for no one, Time, it’s worth the taking.' Learn to focus on the now, the here, the present."
