Thy Art Is Murder Unleash ‘Until There Is No Longer’ From The Aggression Sessions
First it was The Depression Sessions, now it’s The Aggression Sessions. Thy Art Is Murder are joined by Fit For An Autopsy and Malevolence for a split EP Nuclear Blast collective release, out April 7. Each of the bands will release one original and one cover, totalling six tracks.
Fit For An Autopsy will take on At The Gates‘ ‘Under A Serpent Sun‘, whilst Thy Art Is Murder will reimagine Cannibal Corpse‘s ‘Hammer Smashed Face‘ and Malevolence adding blast-beats to Anastacia‘s ‘Left Outside Alone‘. A couple of weeks ago we had Fit For An Autopsy launch the EP with original single ‘Hellions‘, an incredibly strong preview, and maybe we’ll hear what Malevolence have in store at their Knotfest show in Melbourne today.
We were stoked to finally complete the puzzle since Thy Art Is Murder guitarist Andy Marsh gave us the cryptic scoop when we caught up with him during their Decade of Hate tour. However, as we learn more about The Aggression Sessions, the five-piece Aussie deathcore group have already started teasing their sixth studio album, having now fully tracked vocals – more to come soon it seems.
Until then, let’s focus on the present. With just a few weeks until the full EP drops, our Aussie reps Thy Art Is Murder have shared their original tune ‘Until There Is No Longer‘. With delicious production, they initially showcase their death metal / deathcore fusion, with a dial up on the former style. As the track evolves, those high-production grooves show themselves, with tasty breakdowns and technical prowess.
Whilst the full digital release is available in just a few weeks, you can grab some collectible Vinyl/CD on July 21.
