KNOTFEST Australia’s MASSIVE Debut Lineup Unleashed!
The Aussie metal lover’s calendar will be etched with three new dates that are a MUST SEE for every heavy music fan as KNOTFEST makes its maiden voyage down under in 2023 with a HUUUUGE lineup of heavy metal greats and new-age bands ready to dominate up Australia’s East Coast kicking off in Melbourne on Friday, March 24th at Flemington Racecourse, Sydney on Saturday, March 25th at Centennial Park and wrapping up in Brisbane on Sunday, March 26th at RNA Showgrounds.
The music, arts and counterculture experience curated by Slipknot themselves will see the mask-dotting maniacs leading the charge alongside a mouth-watering lineup consisting of Parkway Drive, Megadeth, Trivium, Northlane, Amon Amarth, In Flames, Knocked Loose, Spiritbox, Story Of The Year, Alpha Wolf, Void Of Vision, Bad Omens & Malevolence.
With two new albums worth of material under their belts (2019’s We Are Not Your Kind and 2022’s The End, So Far), this run will mark Slipknot‘s first tour down under since 2016 and maggots everywhere will be salivating at the opportunity to catch them live again. These shows also mark the first Australian shows for Parkway Drive, following the release of their latest ARIA chart-dominating new release Darker Still.
Also, much to the approval of the core community, we will finally have Spiritbox making their debut in Australia – a long time coming for the group who shot to fame prior to the release of last year’s stellar album Eternal Blue and their three-track EP Rotoscope – which they dropped back in June.
The art side of the festival will find punters visiting the KNOTFEST Museum for the very first time, featuring an impeccable collection of items and memorabilia from the band’s history – something that’s been a fan favourite spot to check out at the various KNOTFEST events held around the world.
