Neck Deep Take Aim At The Oscars in ‘Heartbreak Of The Century’

Following on from their impressive return to form single ‘STFU‘ last year, Neck Deep have reemerged with a brand new jam for us to learn the words to, in the form of ‘Heartbreak Of The Century‘. Another song that finds the band honing in on their earlier pop punk roots, is accompanied by a music video that tackles the glam and in-fighting at the Academy Awards/Oscars and in particular the infamous slap that was heard around the world.

On the concept, frontman Ben Barlow shares:

“We took the idea of ‘the heartbreak of the century’ and imagined if you could actually win an award for that. So there we had it- a shitty Oscar’s, where we won the heartbreak of the century award. We wanted the video to feel classic/nostalgic, something that was entertaining to watch rather than your usual. It features some of our best (worst) acting to date and is one of our favourite videos we’ve ever done.”
