After months of teasing and whispers throughout the industry, sideshows for the upcoming Knotfest debut down under have been announced through March and there’s plenty to get involved with.

Tickets will without a doubt sell fast so make sure you get yours by signing up for the pre-sale. Details are:

Let’s begin with…


The Canadian djent-core crew will play a one-off show in Melbourne on Tuesday March 21st at the Forum alongside special guests Make Them Suffer and Reliqa! Given that this will be the box’s first show in Australia, we can expect nothing less than an instant sell-out!

Megadeth will make up for lost time between visits by playing two shows; one at Adelaide’s Entertainment Centre on March 21st and another at Marg Court Arena in Melbourne on March 22nd alongside Swedish melo-death kings In Flames, who are set to drop their new album Foregone on Friday (our review here).

Amon Amarth + Trivium

Two co-headline shows for the metal titans will be played at The Forum in Melbourne on March 23rd and then Brisbane’s Eatons Hill on March 28th with special guests Malevolence!

Knocked Loose

Get an additional dose of heavy with Knocked Loose‘s sideshows at the Colonial Hotel in Melbourne on March 23rd and then Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on March 27th.

Story of the Year

The post-hardcore lads will play an East Coast run, celebrating their new album Tear Me To Pieces and triumphant return down under starting in Melbourne at Stay Gold on March 22nd, The Brightside in Brisbane on March 27th then Crowbar Sydney on March 28th.

Bad Omens

Rounding out the sideshows will be the highly anticipated Bad Omens, playing The Triffid in Brisbane on March 21st then Sydney’s Factory Theatre on March 22nd.
